Denver

Known as the ‘Mile High City’, Denver sits pretty at 5,280ft in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, midway between the Mississippi River and the Pacific Ocean. The city of Denver is a friendly metropolis, with numerous tree-lined boulevards, more than 200 city parks and striking architecture ranging from historic buildings to breathtaking, modern skyscrapers. The nearby Rocky Mountains receive an abundance of snow every winter but Denver's climate remains mild, as the city receives approximately 300 days of annual sunshine. When the snow falls, the close proximity of numerous high-altitude ski resorts makes Denver the perfect city for winter enthusiasts.

When arriving in Denver, we strongly recommend a full rest day to allow the group to acclimatise before heading off into the towering Colorado Rockies. With so much on offer, SkiClass groups will find plenty to do to keep them occupied. The State Capitol, INVESCO Field at Mile High, Coors Field, Pepsi Center, Denver Art Museum, Colorado History Museum, US Mint, 16th Street Mall and the Denver Pavilions are all located within 3 miles of the Ramada Denver Downtown Hotel, ranking Denver as one of the most walkable downtown USA cities. SkiClass groups are able to explore the ‘Mile High City’ with ease before heading off to Copper Mountain or Winter Park. Our recommended Denver attractions include;

  • Shopping on the 16th Street Mall
  • Coors Field- Home to the Colorado Rockies
  • The Hard Rock Cafe
  • Colorado State Capitol
  • Tour of the U.S Mint
  • Denver Art Museum
