The nearby Rocky Mountains receive an abundance of snow every winter but Denver's climate remains mild, as the city receives approximately 300 days of annual sunshine. When the snow falls, the close proximity of numerous high-altitude ski resorts makes Denver the perfect city for winter enthusiasts.

When arriving in Denver, we strongly recommend a full rest day to allow the group to acclimatise before heading off into the towering Colorado Rockies.
