This European style village is a secluded year-round alpine resort, located just 35 miles from South Lake Tahoe, and only 177 miles from San Francisco via scenic Highway 88. This uncrowded resort is consistently recognised for its quality snow and varied terrain, receiving more snow each year than any other Tahoe resort.

Kirkwood has a much higher elevation than any other resort on the South Shore, with a base elevation of 7,800ft. With 2300 acres of marked piste and with a variety of terrain there is something for all abilities.
