Valloire & Valmeinier

Valloire and Valmeinier is a traditional rustic French resort situated at the crossroads where the Northern and Southern Alps meet. The village nestles around a 17th century Baroque church and is one of the nine ‘Stations Villages’ in the heart of the Maurienne. A suitable and welcoming resort for school groups.

Resort
From the arrival point of the cable car at Thimel, the lifts interconnect to the summit of La Setaz (2410m), which leads on to many blue and green runs leading back down to the village. Alternatively, the Pré Rond lift offers access to some long reds and blues, as well as the circuits in Valmeinier.

Ski level
Valloire Resort is mostly suited to beginners and intermediates with direct access to 150km of downhill skiing, with 78 individual pistes, served by 34 ski lifts. With pistes above 2500 metres, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

Snowboarding
Snowboarders have access to a half pipe and snowboarding area with jumps, ski cross and varying routes regarded as one of the ten best in France.
