Le Massif

Perched on the edge of the St Lawrence River, Le Massif has transformed itself into one of Eastern Canada's most eco-friendly resorts. The owner has honored the mountain's beauty by developing the are in harmony with nature. The lifts are, for most part, hidden in the trees and the trails follow the natural fall lines of the three connected mountains.

Le Massif has Canada's highest vertical frop East of Canadian Rockies and because of its riverfront locationm it receives abundant snowfall. The spectacular summit lodge allows school groups to take advantage of the endless views up and down the St. Lawrence. Up here it's calm, quiet and peaceful and the trails appear to just plunge 2,500 feet directly down into the ice-choked St. Lawrence River.
