December 2011
Firstly I would like to say a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone. I hope Father Christmas brings you something nice and next year is prosperous. HO HO HO or should I say snow, snow, snow; it finally fell in nick of time in Europe and America, it was a bit touch and go there for a while, but all our groups that travelled pre-Christmas have been and gone and a good time was had by all. The snow conditions are improving daily in the Alps and we are set to have a great season for snow.
Our Inspection to Killington and Stowe has been well received, with all spaces been filled. I am sure everyone traveling on the inspection will have a great time and will see what an amazing product we have in the States.
To all those travelling over the festive season, have a safe journey and I will be thinking of while I am in Brighton looking after operations for all our groups travelling out this festive.
Once again wish everyone a merry Christmas and happy new year.

October 2011
Can you believe October half term is going to be here in a few days, this should have been a welcome back from the summer holiday blog! The weather has got colder and the clocks will be going back soon, the winter season is fast approaching. We have been very busy here in Brighton getting things in place for this season and also taking bookings for the 2013 ski season. For all future travellers, as a bit of a thank you, don’t forget to pay deposits and book your ski trip before the 22nd of December and receive your Early Booking Discount of £20.
It’s been a challenging Summer in the school ski world which has ended in the loss of a great company and competitor Pinnacle Travel. As I said on BBC radio, it’s important that children’s holidays are protected and with Pinnacle being an ABTA and ATOL protected business, I am pleased that we, along with other businesses, have been able to assist in making their holiday happen. I hope that all the former Pinnacle clients (and staff) have a successful winter. If you have any questions on these, please just give us a call.
On a more pleasant note, follow the success of last year’s USA inspection trip, we are doing it again! Please don’t hesitate to contact us about our “cost price” group inspection visit to East Coast America from the Sunday the 12th February to Saturday the 18th February 2012. This is a great opportunity for you the party leader to ski the mountain, view our contracted accommodation and meet the resort staff. The Party Leader cost will be fully refunded against confirmed bookings of 40 paying passengers, or more to America for the ski winter season 2012/13. Look forward to hearing from you and hopefully seeing you on the American inspection visit.
PS the snow is arriving in the EU, this was taken in Tignes this morning (20th October 2011)

As I look at the window, the sun is shining and long may it continue. I am thinking back to what an amazing ski season we have had. We have opened new doors into the American market and strengthen our ties with our regular suppliers.
I would like to take this moment to thank everyone that travelled with us for 2011/12 and thank you also for their feedback once they came back from ski trip. We have taken on board what has been said both positive and negative to improve our overall service to you the clients. This is a continuous process and we always welcome any feedback about how we do things here at SkiClass.
We are chomping at the bit and rearing to go for next season. It is only 5 months away till our first groups travel out to America for their ski trips. First though let’s all enjoy the summer holidays and we look forward to speaking to you all again in the new school year.

May 2011
We have now come to the end of tour 2010/11 season and I have to say it has been a fantastic one! I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Party Leaders that booked with us and the SkiClass team whom without this season wouldn’t have been possible.
As you may remember in my February blog I mentioned we were having or first visually impaired student travelling with SkiClass and learning to ski. I’m pleased to inform you all that Josh embarked on his ski trip in April 2011 to Killington and he had a brilliant time. We would like to say a special thank you to Josh's teacher Stuart Milne for taking on this kind of responsibility. Here at SkiClass we are thrilled to have been able to share this experience with Josh and turn his dream into a reality- Well done Josh!

The USA has proved to be a brilliant destination this year, with all our groups having a successful trip. With the best snow conditions in 30 years and fantastic snow in the late Easter period, the USA is a perfect destination for guaranteed snow sure conditions. Just under half of the groups booked with SkiClass for winter 11/12 are heading to the USA so make sure you don’t miss out!
I will be continuing to update you on what is going on over the summer, including an update on the snow conditions for our summer group who are off Skiing in July (yes that right a ski holiday in July!!) as well as any further developments and news for next season.
Once again thank you for all your support this season- it really has been a great one!

“Today was a great day in the Brighton office! The sun was shining, Brighton and Hove Albion FC have just been promoted to the Championship and I have just received two fantastic phone calls - one from France and one from Austria with some great news …. IT’S SNOWING!
With numerous groups travelling overseas this week and next, I would like to wish you all (even if you not travelling with us) a Happy Easter Skiing. I hope to be able to ‘pop out’ on an empty plane to France for some very late skiing too; I may even be able to drag Jess out, fingers crossed!
Sean is currently in the USA, which is already proving to be a really popular option for next year. I really hope that this continues as we have been working hard with the transatlantic resorts to be able to put some really interesting packages together, including city stopover options to make an exciting cross-cultural experience.
I am really pleased to have been able to set Hanna free from her desk to take some of our Party Leaders for a quick tour around Kaprun and Mulbach. I think it’s really important for both you (the Party Leader) and for our staff to get together in resort and ski the mountain themselves. We will be running alternative inspection visits next season and although we’re not yet sure where and when, please let me know if you’re interested! Italy is proving to be an increasingly popular school ski destination, so do let us know if you want to see why for yourself.
I will leave you to try and plan your selection of bank-royal wedding-may day holidays and will keep you updated on how the season went after, what I hope is a very enjoyable “Happy Easter” for us all!”
Next update after the Easter holidays!
